Default RE: CRRC 40cc kit

Hey all,I put mine together last night, took about an hour.If you have done a couple conversion engines, this kit will be very easy.I ran it today for about two hours(about a half gallon of gas)with the needles set just as they came from the factory. It hand started on about the fourth flip. That was after I tried to start it the way I start all my other gassers and then followed the instructions, choke on flip it till it pops, choke off three or four flips and it's running.Idled at about 2000 rpm's and topped out at about 6700 to 7000 rpm's on first tank of gas.On the last tank of gas it idled at about 1800 rpm and topped out at about 8500 to 8700 rpm's with a MAS 18x6 Classic prop.I tried a MAS 20x8 prop but I think it was to much prop for breaking in this engine,I could only get about 6500 rpm's and it seemed to run a little hotter.Maybe after a little more break in I will put the 20x8 back on and see what it does then. All in all this is not a bad little engine for 199.00usd and you will not believe the throttle responce and transition on a brand new engine.I hope to put mine in my H9 USL120 that has a BCMA 26 in it right now and needs a bit more power.
