I just bought the CC 10A BEC, and I did the mod described in the B400 bible about popping the pins into the Gyro slot.
Now I am getting to the soldering part. Do I solder battery connectors onto the end of the BEC and hook it straight up to the battery? Or do I solder the BEC ends onto something else?
I installed the same BEC on my TREX 500 just recently. Its a great BEC and a great piece to have... The soldering part is going to include the ESC and the BEC. Think of it as starting over, as you are going to have a ESC with no connector most likely and so what ya want to do is take the positive end of the wire from the BEC and connect it, wrap it, or spot solder it, to the end of the positive lead coming from the ESC.... Do the same for the negative sides also, negative from BEC to ESC.... Solder those connections, and then go ahead and then also apply your connector of choice then to the ESC/BEC main lead, and your done except for connecting the BEC to your RX.... But don't forget to pull or snip your red positive lead from your ESC as its no longer required as you'll be putting the ESC's internal BEC to rest, and your heli will thank-ya for it !...
Have a good one,
