I just bought the CC 10A BEC, and I did the mod described in the B400 bible about popping the pins into the Gyro slot.
Now I am getting to the soldering part. Do I solder battery connectors onto the end of the BEC and hook it straight up to the battery? Or do I solder the BEC ends onto something else?

I installed the same BEC on my TREX 500 just recently. Its a great BEC and a great piece to have... The soldering part is going to include the ESC and the BEC. Think of it as starting over, as you are going to have a ESC with no connector most likely and so what ya want to do is take the positive end of the wire from the BEC and connect it, wrap it, or spot solder it, to the end of the positive lead coming from the ESC.... Do the same for the negative sides also, negative from BEC to ESC.... Solder those connections, and then go ahead and then also apply your connector of choice then to the ESC/BEC main lead, and your done except for connecting the BEC to your RX.... But don't forget to pull or snip your red positive lead from your ESC as its no longer required as you'll be putting the ESC's internal BEC to rest, and your heli will thank-ya for it !...

Have a good one,

Also........ The nice thing with the CC BEC is that if ya have the Castle Link that works for the Castle ESC's, it also works for the Castle BEC to program and change your settings. It will also allow you to check for updates and improvements for the ESC's or BEC's from Castle. There always improving there firmware and using the supplied USB cable with the Castle Link allows you to check for them, or do your programming from your computer.......

I'm sorry - I'm really confused still =/. I don't think your explanation was bad - I'm just retarded, lol.
Are you meaning that the BEC wires solder onto the ESC wires where the ESC connects to the battery? So basically, my deans plug will have 2 red and 2 black wires soldered to it?
And then to isolate the Rx BEC - I snip the red wire that comes from the ESC to the Rx?

Bzinfinity,
You explained it right, so you understood Jeff. You could also put a deans on the BEC and use a Parallel Y-adaptor from the battery to the ESC and BEC.
You don't have to cut the red wire on the throttle pins. I ususally just pull it from the connector and tape it back on the wires just in case I wanted to use the BEC in the ESC sometime in the future.

You have it right. It used to always confuse me also until I actually saw a picture of how it was done...
I also didn't "Snip" the positive wire from the ESC as Nick had noted, but instead just unplugged it and pulled it back and wrapped it with a piece of electrical tape.
