hmm i had a recent experence with cutting a crank my self i HIGHLY suggest getting a dremel tool and some accesories for it it has a metal cutting wheel with some of the accesorie boxes

for cutting i just used the plastic bag the engine came in just pop a hole with the crank thru the plastic and cut but i would put your entire clutch assembly together and measure how much u need to cut off before cutting
