allright, i guess ill have to find out for myself
I also found a battery tray conversion here:
http://www.helitek-rc.com/index.php?...d&productId=42
That would allow the batteries from a llama heli to fit. they are much less expensive, and have better ratings too. figure that out :/
MY question is can i charge the llama lipo's on my eflite charger? they have the balancing port and are the same voltage.
Thanks
Matt

As far as your battery tray, what I did was just mod the stock CX2 tray and cut up any useless material so that I could fly with most battery configurations... I use Industrial strength velcro to keep the battery in place and have never had the battery seperate from the tray in over a year of flying and survived many crashes. The stuff is twice as sticky and strong as the regular velcro, and for over a year I've only been flying my CX2 with my CPP 3-cells which are even heavier than the 2-cell jobbers. I wouldn't encourage the use of 3-cells in the CX2, as there are risks involved but I've never had a problem and still have the stock 4 in 1.
Here's a short video of my CX2 inside with the 3-cell, and the pod and boom I currently have on it to this day...
