Default RE: BME 58 Extreme

Hey Guys,

Since I started this thread I thought I would give everyone a update on my BME 58. I originally had thought I would mount it on a 81" span Great Planes Yak but decided not to and bought a Chip Hyde Double Vision kit NIB to mount it on. I had my maiden flight yesterday and flew it some more today. So far I have burned a gallon of gas at 32 to 1 ratio for break-in. I plan on burning 3 or 4 gallons this way before leaning the mixture any. I am using a Zoar 23 x 8 prop and the plane has a dry weight of 17lbs 6 ozs. This plane is a great flyer to me. It fly's like a giant foamy and just floats in for landings. I hope to learn some 3d type stuff with this plane. The BME has no problem hauling this plane around with authority even with the rich mixture for break-in. It hangs on the prop at a pretty low throttle setting and climbs out of site pretty quick. The engine has run well and I've only had one dead stick when I had the idle set to low. As far as smoothness it seems fine when the model is flying, but sitting on the ground at a idle it is shaking things pretty good.
