Default RE: Good sim for low price?

wife bought me fsone for christmas... i had been using fms.... graphics are really nice...but heli selection is lousy...lots of planes though.....as i am new to helis ...i have a blade 400...i wont attempt to fly without some sim time...tried that once...learned my lesson....If you own some of the models on a sim or have flown them i guess you can tell if the physics are close to real... if a blade cp is squirrly in real life and your hovering like joe the pro on your first couple tries then i wouldnt trust it. But if you got one as a gift like me...i flew a voyager 50 on my sim then did a google search for voyager 50 videos...i was very surprised after watching the videos how close they seemed to be flying to how my sim was....so i felt somewhat confident about it. havent tried the rest or any airplanes yet but this is a good idea on how to check the realism of a sim which to me is the meat and potatoes....eye candy and extras just a bonus...well thats my two cents worth...happy flying everyone! wife paid 99.00 for the sim which incl. the tacon controller and two different types of dongles...one a usb conn. and another a parrallel or serial conn. i do feel this was rushed to market and im not happy with the heli selection at all ....very limited.... 3 or 4 very small helis from e flight which are virtually useless...a 50 size elect and nitro, a 90 size gasser and a large scale ranger. no blade400.....no trex450 althought i now see a small upgrade pack with one for about 20.00....your limited to what horizon wants to add , and when they want...i dont see how it would be feasible to make your own addons either..so if helis are your thing....stay away form this one...you could do better somewhere else.
