Default RE: Clancy Lazy Bee

Mike,
On the kit version.....yes....laminated the wing tips. I know it sounds tedious.....but they are so strong!!! The ARF versions, Hobby People cut corners by making the wing tips as they did for the ARF version of the Speedy Bee. The ARF version wing is very delicate. An old kit or just scratch building is the only way for me. Just my opinion I guess. But....I have had a lot of Bees...

Glad you liked the movie. I was serching all over the house for more discs. But then it hit me....some of my best footage was lost on a burned up Hard drive. I had some rolls that were very axial.....I had a couple spins also. I really wanted to show it off for you. But....I guess I will have to make a better Bee and get more footage soon. I only have one ARF with a couple wings and Gyro Bee conversion mast. I really want to build a 40" again. I tend to go with too large of a battery pack sometimes. I just love to fly past the 10 minute point. So....I will sacrifice some weight for endurance. Just remember "back in the day" we would fly with heavy nicads!!!! LOL!!! The Bees will take on some weight and fly awesome.

OK...I have pontificated long enough and sorry to highjack the thread guys. I just enjoy discussing my first plane and probably my favorite plane of all time.

Keep the Bees Alive,

Carry on men!!!!
