RE: BME G.90 gas
The E85 here dropped to 178.9 per gallon yesterday.
There is no need for a spark plug and ignition. But if you desire to run the plane's weight up that is your business. The E-85 runs like glow fuel except there is no nitro in the mix. Instead there is about 15% gasoline. It will burn with the same results as glow except the replacement of standard 2 stroke glow plugs with an O.S. F four stroke plug.
A tank of E85 lasts longer than glow and less that gas. I gave been making test runs with different motors to see how well, how long, and importantly how hot all my motors run on this mixture. For the most part many of my engines new and old run on E85 with 18% Klotz Supertechniplate (80% syn, 20% castor).
AGAIN REMEMBER THAT WITHOUT THE HIGHER TUNGSTEN O.S. F four stroke plug you will have rough midrange and no smooth idle. When all my studies and calcualations are finished my intensions are to post them in video form for the non-beleivers.
You Super Tigre owners will see the value of your large bore monster Tigres become very appealing with this fuel method. I will demonstrate inverted mounting of a S2000, Moki 1.8 and show you that not only these motors run on E85, but the run inverted as well.
The interesting about this is the temperatures that I am taking with infrared thermometer. The E85 is actually running cooler in some applications. Will publish numbers when the spreadsheet is finished.
That's all for now. Back to work
