OK,an echCS345 or CS 346 can be rail mounted like a glow engine.Im not sure if the coil is on the block or case,youll have to look them up.These also have very minimal cutting as they just pop out of the saw case with 4 bolts.This engine is 34cc.You did say 38cc but this is close.
An echo CS-4400 is the same way=====44ccthis equals the BME44same engine

Echo -45cc-out of blower.Little bit harder to convert as it has a straight shaft and not tapered.But really no big deal.I have a hub started.Ill post a couple pics tommorow when i have daylight.Besides,i cant find my poulan 42,i know its somewhere.I also have a 45ccecho.
Echos and homelites are the easiest and most powerful for the Power to Weight issues.Now dont everybody get in an uproar,i said easiest and power to weight.These are also rail mount motors.
