I meant coilsensor is magnetic or inductive sensor. Hall sensor produces square signal, using 3 wire (+/-/signal) and magnetic sensor produces a.c signal. I don't know if your CDI can be used with magnetic sensor ?
Problem there is where to fire the coil on the resulting curve, also then temp variation would mean that it would fire sooner or later dependant on how hot/cold the circuit got... Best to stick with a latched Hall sensor
