I would note that I had to put holes in my servo hatches to clear the scres that hold the aluminum servo mounts down, but that is not that big of a deal...
Yes it is a good idea to countersinking the hole ... to have more space for the screws... i did this on 3 or so holes...

And a little tool which i made ... is a drilling jig ... the the pic
