Originally FEJ had the servo hatches on the inside of both fins. They later changed it to have the servo hatches on the left side of both fins. I know this because my kit originally came with fins that had the servo hatches on the inside. Unfortunately, I damaged those fins by stepping on them while they were in my garage [:@] The replacements I ordered came with the hatches on the left side. James told me that they made this change so that builders could put the servos on the same side and thus run the rudders without needing a Matchbox (or reversed servo) on them.
