AnnMarie, I failed to mention in my post that I have recalibrated my controller several times trying to diagnos my problem. Recalibration did not indicate there was a problem. By that I mean the sticks seem to calibrate to acceptable plus/minus values. This being the case could there still be some other problem with my controller? I just wanted to make sure before I send in the controller for exchange.
