AnnMarie, thank you very much for your prompt reply. I have suspected there might be a problem with my controller. In fact, in my last email to RF Tech Support I asked about replacing/repairing my controller, if the controller might be the problem. I did not receive a response. Where do I send the controller for exchange or repair?

AnnMarie, I failed to mention in my post that I have recalibrated my controller several times trying to diagnos my problem. Recalibration did not indicate there was a problem. By that I mean the sticks seem to calibrate to acceptable plus/minus values. This being the case could there still be some other problem with my controller? I just wanted to make sure before I send in the controller for exchange.

Flyboy, yes, esp since it is intermittent and all other diagnostics have not located a problem.
If you're planning on buying the USB upgrade you may want to just go ahead and do that. You then won't use the old controller anyway.

i gotta say that great planes does have some pretty good customer service. i purchased an easy sport 40 kit a few weeks ago. it was missing a couple of peices. i emailed graet planes customer support and they replied in less than 24 hours asking for the part #'s of the missing pieces. said they would air mail them to me. -thas all

RC_,
Sorry, not an option. Drafting plans is, by far, the longest time spent by any designer on any single portion of a new design. You wouldn't believe what it takes to do them! (I did the bulk of the giant extra's plans so I know all too well).
ARF models are not built over traditional plans and as such there is no need for this VERY expensive use of manpower.

Hi Anne, One of the best flying planes I ever had was the Ultrasport ARF. However, by today's arf standards this plane needs improved. I am thinking less foamboard and plastic, more like built up with covering. Any plans to improve or update this design? I think most would pay more for something built like your current arf's.

Hi Caf! The US 40 is still sold in its current configuration because modelers like yourself tell us they love it, both in words and with purchase dollars. That much I can say as to why it is still sold.
That said, I can not comment on what might be in the works for the future. Sorry, can't ever answer those types of questions.
