Hello again, All or most 1/16 RC tanks are powered by two identical 380 motors each driving the left or right gearbox/sprocket/track. Not so for the Tamiya 2A6. One of the 540 motor is for throttle while the other is for turning. That means the more common dual-gearbox-380 -motor setup will not work with the 2A6 DMD/MFU unit which is configured to handle different functions for the two main outputs. The gearbox assembly steps I cited earlier shows that this is an entirely different system with superb engineering.
