Just remember when you cut the cable have the cut-off wheel turning in the same direction as the twist in the cable otherwise the disc could snag on one the wires and fray the end of the cable. If you pre-solder the spot where you are going to cut less chance of fraying the end of the cable.
Question on attaching the cable to the stub shaft... Offshire shows you how to join them without soldering buy useing loctite. Is this method very strong? Or would it be better to solder as Octura says in their directions?
