When I had my first heli, a buddy and me decided to launch bottle rockets off of the skids, and it worked pretty well...

We used an extra channel on the radio, which operated a servo, which then activated a mechanical switch, and applied voltage from a 9V battery to the rocket ignitor, which then (after it was placed carefully in the end of the bottle rocket) lit the fuse of the bottle rocket...

Looked pretty cool, to say the least...only had one shot per flight though...LOL
