Man! I thought I knew something about Fox engines. I did some Googling and learned a little. Saw some pics of the early Eagle and the Hawk. Noticed the early Eagle has one boost port and the Hawk has two. That Explains why the Hawk made more horses.
Ran across the manual for the Hawk. It said examples of that engine had been run up 25,000 RPM with no damage! Hot damn! Well, learn a little something every day.

I wonder if the old -time pattern guys (can't remember what they call themselves) could help you on the rods.
