ed, the hawk was an up graded, if you will, actully a different eng. you mit be thinking of the late model eagle eng. not to be confused with old style eagle. fox dropped old eagle and hawk sers. engs., retooled and can up w/late model eagles .60/.74s, still in production. they have gone thru many mods. especilly because of nitro availiblity thru out the years. the hawk would definitly out run the old eagles for sure, owned both. the hawk had ball brg, supported crank, ringed piston. 1 great engine
