Default RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

Thanks guys.

I'm a Product Designer by trade, we have a fully equipped model shop downstairs too. I also have contacts within bureau's, which help me out every now and again to get parts made.

The Carbon fibre parts I made on a CNC Router, the engine mounts were made on a milling machine and the radio box was made using an FDM machine. All of this excepting the Carbon parts is a work in progress. I will find my weight measurements and let you know exactly how much you can save, etc.

The radio boxes are designed along the lines of the original with the same double edge, etc. This I found to be pretty good at keeping water and mud out unless you drive through a big puddle.

The biggest issue with the boxes is the cost, so I kept them as simple as possible to try and keep the costs down. I would have liked to use co-moulded rubber seals too, but the cost was way to prohibitive.

I am also designing my own truggy at the moment, which I believe will be quite radical, I will reveal all once I have made a prototype and track tested it. Probably about 6 months from now, hopefully sooner.
