When you think about it the Vulcan was the world's first flying wing heavy bomber to actually enter service, preceding the B-2 by about 50 years, amazing. Also amazing is the Brit's built three different heavy bombers at the same time, the Vulcan, Valiant & Victor. Probably one of the reasons they do not build bombers (or much of anything themselves) any more. - John.
I don't think that the Vulcan, cool as it is, fits the definition of a flying wing. I see two big thingies sticking outta the wing that are
not "wing". One is a
fuse (full length!) and the other is a
vertical stab!
