Flying my DA-50 today when the unexpected engine flame out occurred.

Question is providing good voltage to the ignition module:

1) is there a procedure to verify the status of the Hall magnetic sensor on the crankshaft via an OHM meter?

2) is it OK to power up the ignition system / plug removed and grounded to engine, spin the crank to confirm spark?
