Default RE: A123 Battery packs

Chad is right-the Dewalt packs do have an integrated balancer in them. I have taken apart 3 DeWalt packs now and found only one cell that was not within 1/100 volt of the rest. They usually come out from 3.0 to 3.2 The last pack I did all ten cells were exactly 3.29. The one cell that was out was 2.0. It takes a bit more time but I individually charge each cell twice before I make a pack-probably not necessary but cant hurt. I use JR leads for the balance leads for flight packs. I have two chargers and like them both. The TME Extrema and the Bantam e-station 6. TheBantam charges/discharges all types of batteries and is also 12 volt OR 120 volt powered.
The hardest part I have found so far is finding good shrinkwrap in the proper size Scotty
