Though I don't own the Corsair with retracts I do have the W/M Chipmunk and I don't see where there is an issue with the retracts....if you can land the plane in a normal fashion the retracts should not be a problem, plus they are a lot of fun.

I would suggest that you give the retracts a try before you do anything drastic. The 70 OS should be ample power for it but certainly won't overpower it. :sunsmiley
