Hi Guys,
Well, I would lik,e tp tap your knowledge again. I am preparing to assemble a World Models Corsair. I have decieded on an OS 70 Surpass 2 for power. Is that enough for a 6 1/2 pound plane?
Also, how well does this bird fly? I already know there is an issue with the retracts, is there any fixes besides epoxying in a new fixed gear set?
Any input on the preformance of this model would be greatly appreciated! Mine is ordered, I should have it by Wednesday.
Thanks,
ziggy99

Though I don't own the Corsair with retracts I do have the W/M Chipmunk and I don't see where there is an issue with the retracts....if you can land the plane in a normal fashion the retracts should not be a problem, plus they are a lot of fun.
I would suggest that you give the retracts a try before you do anything drastic. The 70 OS should be ample power for it but certainly won't overpower it. :sunsmiley

I plan on trying the retracts before I rip them out. I really like the looks of the plane when the plane if flying up and clean.
Do you thik a 91 Surpass 2 would be better? I worry about the fiberglass fuse and balance.
Thanks,

I had this plane with the O.S 70 and it was an OK flyer. The tail wiggles around in flight. Besides that it was pretty nice. Never had any problems with retracts on that model or any other WM ARFS. The 70 pulls that plane very nice.
