You will really really really want to run lipo with them. Brushless is killer on nimh batteries. If you can afford both the truck and the batteries then it is an amazing system. The power is nasty. Those big brushless systems work best with big voltage. Add the price of lipo in and if it isn't too much it is just as good an option as any.
