Bolio: What a treat to see your Hammer here. Here's the whole story on that plane. It was originally designed a 25 size by Dick Sarpolus and kitted by Bob Peru. owner of Champion Models. Bob Dick and I all were good friends and lived close by. I built and flew one and suggested he make it a 45 size which he did. I became his tester and flew it in competition many times back then. It is not a pattern plane by todays standards but back then it held its own. This was about 1980. I still have some of the pix that were taken of me and the Hammer and used in magazine and newspaper ads. I also still have a Hammer which I continue to fly, a great plane.
