Default great planes pitts

I am surprised that G.P hasn't done something about this. There have been several thread comments about the cabbane brackets coming lose and people losing airplanes. G.P. did do a nice job in adding hard wood for the cabbane mounts in later models, but to have metal brackets break, well, gosh darn. It's designed for the OS 160 which probably explains why they used this size brackets. However, by now I am confident G.P realizes that many people are using larger glow and gas engines now. In fact, they sent one with a Fuji 50 to Gerry Yarrish with MAN who did the review on this combo.

I still really like the airplane, but have to admit this causes me to want to change the brackets out to avoid the possibility of having the same problem. I also read a thread by a fellow who had the nylon hinges break. He said it was due to flutter. He repaired the hinges and then sealed the movable surfaces to solve this problem.

Right now I'm grounded with mine waiting on my receiver to be returned after breaking off about 2 inches of the Rx antenna. Arrgh.... Always something.
