Default RE: is there a tiny 3oz ignition with Tx controlled advance and mounting tabs

Nothing is really new
in 1998- for example - I used converted ST1.4 engines -on alky and 5% nitro - to ignition
the setup was made by Trans-Sil- (Al Diem) my part was specifying that the coil be seperate (yes) from the elctronics and mounted 3" from the spark plug. (less weight and less potential Rf noise. )
a std auto advance board was used
total weight - 3-4 ozs PLUS the battery.
using a pair of 1100ma A123 cells -today the total weight would be 6-7 ozs.
as far as tx control of the spark - novel but hardly worthwhile except for diddlin around. The parameters of the stock advance board were plenty good(.alky has a greater tolerance for advance settings) .
However a wider spark gap did proove to produce more power -as long as the ignition did not "break down"
Power and smooth running with this setup exceeded glo plug setups as the timing remained where intended irrespective of heat .
This is whre glow setups go bad - as heat ADVANCES - so does the point of combustion!
A cheap Chinese ignition plus a magnet and a 10mm plug will make almost any glo setup into a alky/ ignition engine. the tiny spark plug interchangable with glow plugs also work but are a pain in the butt to use on a really high performance setup.
just physically, too small .
This entire conversion setup should cost anyone , well under $100 US. in parts.
I bet the guys at C&H can splain it all to you. and do the conversion for you,if you prefer
