Yes you can use the hose, but you don't want to SPRAY it. The manual is pretty specific that you can let the water from a hose run over it to clean it, but DONT put your thumb/finger over the end to increase the pressure, as that could force water into the bearings and past seals in the ESC, servo, and radio box.
