Instructor and trainer plane are always the best choice, but a lot of folks here forget that it is not always practical for some newcomers. If you are trying to learn on your own, the Super Cub is going to be your best bet. Its the easiest to fly and the cheapest to repair and keep flying. So many people wouldn't be "pushing" them if they were not a good choice.
