Default RE: Hog Bipe Build Thread

Well chashint - I'm starting a Hog Bipe thread - you may get your opportunity for revenge fairly soon [sm=47_47.gif]
I don't need any revenge, its all good.
My hog Bipe barely saw its first birthday before it returned to mother earth on its own free will, but during that year I really enjoyed the plane.
Someday I will build another one, but there are other projects ahead of it.
I thought it was a nice straight forward build and a very nimble flyer.
There are very few complaints about this plane, mine did have a lot of down coupling with the rudder which I had not figured out how to compensate for knife-edge before the fatal flight but otherwise I have no other negative feedback on flight performance.
I never had a nose over problem with the landing gear in yhe stock location, I did replace the landing gear with a Dubro super strength gear because the one Sig supplied in the kit is to soft.
On the advice of a fellow club member with a Hog Bipe I did not use the plastic push rods that came with the kit, he said he had to retrim the plane almost every flight.
Other than the pushrod change I glued it together per print with the dual aileron servo mod.
When I build the replacement I will use two aileron servos but I may put them in the center of the wing instead of in the wing panels.
