Default RE: JERRY NELSON PEGASUS-WHERE DOES IT BELONG???

I have been looking over the plans and have noticed several interesting points. The forward fuse bulkhead, F1, is installed at an angle and then a shim is installed on the forward side of the bulkhead to give the correct engine angle. The bulkhead could just as easily be mounted in the correct orientation. Fuse formers F-2, F-3 and F-7 which are the second, third and fifth fuse formers( F-5 and F-6 are part of the turtle deck) are not shown on the plans(shape or outline). Planes of this vintage often had the wings held in place with rubber bands as this one. But most interesting is that the stabilizer assembly(horiz and vert) is also held in place with rubber bands. The Bonner Duramite servos shown in the plans are huge by today's standards. They are a whopping 3 1/2" long. The elevator trim system is a very interesting design and is pictured below.
