Default Glow to gas conversions pros and cons?

I saw this the other day and it got me to thinking that this may be a better way to get what I want. My goal is a great performing 40-60 sized gas airplane.

Why is it that this produces more power than the G20?

Also the oil content is a lot higher at 16:1 thats 8oz of oil to a gallon. The saito gas calls for 20 or 30:1.

My main concern with this route is longevity of the engine. We all know zenoahs run forever. Also burning that much oil seems like it may lead to excessive carbon build up in the engine. Does anyone have experience with runing any of the stock glows on gas?

If I do go this route, I will probably go with a Super Tiger 90 or some other brand with a ringed piston.

Who can make me the parts neccessary to convert to gas? I will need a gas carb adapter, timing ring and a way to put the magnet on the crank.

Is it worth the time effort and money to convert tthese in the long run or should I just go with a purpose built gas engine like the G 20? I can not afford BMEs ST gas 90.
