Default RE: best chainsaw for converting

Ok guys
here we go with more questions I have decided to go with the poulan 45cc engine in my ultra spad stick. If I have read right I will need a 20in. prop which will only give me 3in. of ground clearence what will happen if I go with a 18in prop? Also the engine is an older eng. and has a 3rd line that runs from the crankcase to the carb. is this needed? The carb is not mounted to the eng. solid it has a rubber tube between them, will this be a problm or can you recomend a way to attach it solid to the eng. I have thought about going to gas/glow fuel to cut down on weight by doing away with the flywheel. Any comments here about how hard it might be to start, or should I look for a different engine to convert. This eng. runs great and is very strong it is on an 18in chainsaw.
thanks again for any advise.
