Default RE: Need help programming radio and Tiger 1

First, you might want to check this thread out:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_73...tm.htm#7301841

I also have the Tiger I and the Spektrum DX6i. Mine is working now, but I had to struggle with it. My setup is different than yours....I drive with the right stick and control the turret/fire main gun/fire machine gun with the left, as per the thread above (I have not been able to use the toggles like some but that's ok). Now as far as firing the main gun and machine gun this is what I did....I programmed also according to the Tamiya instructions (I did not worry about watching the lights), important to remember is that on your sub trim (Spektrum DX6i) everthing is set to zero. I'm going to assume you use the elevator to elevate and lower the barrel (I use the throttle)...you push your elevator stick up in order to raise the barrel and push it down to lower the barrel. What I did was after it was programmed I went into the SUB TRIM menu on the Spektrum DX6i and set the throttle to +55...for you that is the ELEVATOR, what you will do is go to your sub trim menu highlight ELEV click once in order to change it and then to raise it to +55 (some go to +60) scroll to the RIGHT...then to test it click down on the scroll to set it at +55 and then with Tiger on throw the elev stick up....it should fire the main gun. Now if it doesn't try experimenting with the elev sub trim until it does. Now that is what I did to set firing the main gun....the machine gun was easier....I get out of the menu and on the vertical trim of my throttle I set it all the way down (you do the vertical trim for the elevator) and when I push down on the throttle stick the machine gun fires.

As far as "The Left stick controls the "driver function" fwd/reverse AND left/right. It doesn't work too well in this configuration, its very difficult to get it to spin right or left. It has to be moving forward. Same with Reverse" I think you just have to break in your gears.

Hope this helps you,
