Default RE: Axe CPV Help!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the hobby! Stick with it and you will live up to your screen name, BUT it does get better!!!!!!!! I too busted a few tail motors replacing them. It is tricky, but believe it or not it is not mission impossible. I have two solutions that I have found to work for me.

1. Get a vice and set one end on the back of the motor and the other on the outer side of the rotor blade. Then slowly turn the vice and it will go on slowly.
2. Lay the heli on it's side with the motor down and lay the back of the motor on something flat likea table or pice of wood. then using a hammer LIGHTLY tap the rotor on.

Doing it by hand for me almost always results in pushing the backend of the motor out. I think the reply you might get from a lot of people here might be to move to a belt driven heli and that will solve your problem. I started with a blade cp and couldn't get the thing to hover to save my life. I got the axe cpv3 and was hovering no problem on the first flight!!! I thought it was super easy, but that doesn't mean I didn't have my fair share of crashes. I got the free sims from the internet and they helped me, but for me it wasn't the same and really only helped with orientation which will be a result of many crashes unless you get that down.

Keep with it!!! It gets better

By the way if you are paying $25 for the tail motors STOP! The new Blade cp pro 2 uses the same n60 motor and you can buy it for $6 online!!!!
