Popriv's SO right, I've never even HEARD of a "switch with a bind cord" until this thread.

All I've EVER done, indeed all I've ever known to do with my 6i is:

Bind plug in batt. channel of Rx
Batt in any other open port
Turn on radio while holding trainer/bind switch
Wait for bind.
