Thanks for getting it right. No matter if you're refferring to servo mounting or whatever the brass pieces are gromments, always have been always will be. They are used in many applications not always that size but same shape. The do make a tool for installing Grommets in canvas or other materials. Our RC application is slightly different but they are grommets. Flat end goes to bottom of servo as stated. I'm surprised many did not see tha reason.
