I have not yet seen a Futaba servo with 2 grommets. When did this start and on which servos?
I've used Futaba 3004's, 3152's and 3010's The higher torque 3152 and 3010's came with came with 4 rubber grommets that push fit at each of the four mounting lugs. The lower torque 3004's also came with 4 grommets. Each had 2 holes side by side, with one fitting on top of the servo and the other underneath, two at each "end" of the servo. They are a PITA since neither will stay in place until you get the eyelets pushed through.

RCU is putting us up at the Riverfront this year, which is 3 blocks down from the convention center.

The Riverfront wouldn't have been my first choice!! I hate the valet parking as your car disappears while you are there. you have to call ahead 30 minutes before you need it if you want to go anywhere.

I think I'll just stay at my house with my car in the driveway?

Buy Hi-Tec the eyelets are easy to install.

Thanks for getting it right. No matter if you're refferring to servo mounting or whatever the brass pieces are gromments, always have been always will be. They are used in many applications not always that size but same shape. The do make a tool for installing Grommets in canvas or other materials. Our RC application is slightly different but they are grommets. Flat end goes to bottom of servo as stated. I'm surprised many did not see tha reason.

For me all the horses, buggies, and associated road apples are the opposite way from Toledo

I bought my first radio system in 2001, a Futaba 6XAS that I still use. It came with S3004 servos. The servo grommets have are "split" so you have a rubber pad with two holes on top and another one on the bottom.
