Default RE: Partner chain saw

Thanks Jim. It is an "s50" and I'm happy to know it is a 50cc. The carb is a Tillotsen, hard mounted to a plastic insulator, shouldn't be a problem. Saw has single ring, good compression, good bore and as I stated before, seems to have very long stroke. I've got it apart now and cleaning old oil and dirt off. Saw chassis and crankcase are as a unit and have to be cut apart. I think I will try gas-glow on this one. I have a good supply of methanol. Tried this once before on a 18cc echo, ran well, no idle, and lost interest.
I had done a Husqvarna 61cc before and found out while grinding the case that it was magnesuim. Checked this one to be sure it's aluminum. Thanks again for the info, red
