I'm not trying to be anti EDF here, but I cannot for the life of me understand going to an EDF system when by the time you buy the fan, ESC, motor, a couple sets of packs etc you're almost at the same price as a small turbine with more thrust.
In your case, if you already have a Wren 54, I wouldn't even consider EDF, you have the engine, use it, it will have sparkling performance, sound like the real thing, and cost you less than having to buy another power package.

If EDF cost half of what it does, it might have more interest to me, but as it sits, I just can't even start to get excited about it. We waited for years to have miniature turbines, going back to a fan system of some sort just seems like a step backwards to me.

Just my opinion of course
