..................... Regardless how good the Jemco kits were, they are not worth that kind of cash for that small of a plane in my mind.
Way back when they were still in production (up to early 80's?), they were selling for $200 or more (Tower Hobbies), while the Top Flite .60 size warbirds were selling for around $100. Inflation alone could bring upo ther price to $300, but being the owner of one of these kits: they are definately among the most detailed, scale accurate kits in this size ever made. Furthermore: there is a LOT to a Dauntless kit that is not in most other warbird kits, such as a cockpit for 2, dive brakes, bomb drop (somewhat mandatory on a dive bomber), etc.

In my opinion: they are worth every bit of $300.

The mere fact that they sell for $300 or more means they ARE worth that much

Does anyone know what the C.G. is for the Jemco SBD? I am in the process of restoring a previously build plane and am looking for the CG.
Thanks,
Mark
I'll get back to you later on this, I have all the plans and manuals (just need to dig them out)
