Default RE: New Monokote Technique

I thought I'd give the technique a try, and boy do I wish I tried it sooner! I did an eagle head on the bottom of one of my Somthin' Extra wings. One thing I did was use some Ultracote that I had. I printed out 2 patterns and taped my Ultracote to the glass then went over it with a warm heat gun to make it stick slightly. I used this for the yellow in the beak and grey highlight, cutting it slightly larger than needed. I then used the paper pattern (taped on one edge to my wing to align the pieces of Ultra, then ironed them down from the center out. I then used black Monokote for the outline and Windex to align it over the Ultracote. I let it set up for about 2 hours, used the heat gun to pull the wrap off, and then sealed the works with my trim iron. It came out flawless! Now I'll have to add graphics to all of my other plain Jane airplanes! Thanks for the tip! -Craig
