Let me help clarify.

The restriction is for a reverse pulse in the charge cycle. This is normally called a "REFLEX" mode in most chargers.

REFLEX mode is only used for NiCADs, not for the factory supplied LiPos. So if you are using LiPos you can use any charger you like without hesitation. If you are using NiCads you are on your own, you have to personally make sure your charger is not using a negative pulse if you are using Ni chemistry batteries!.

I don't know as much about A123 so you would need to read the manuals on your charger to see if they ever use a reverse pulse. If they don't you are fine.
