Hi,
After my previous tuning problems I think I have managed to get a good setting on the HSN but now I can't seem to start the engine very easily even with a drill starter. I have a XTM 24.7 Nitro Engine and it will not start from cold very easily even with the drill starter. The guy in the model shop said that the engine should start from cold with 2 - 3 bursts of the drill starter and if not theres a tuning issue. The engine will start if it has been warmed with hairdryer, but cut out 10 seconds later. Sometimes the engine will stay running and work for a whole tank but usually it cuts out. It is very unpredictable. Could this be the LSN out of setting?
Thanks!
It is possible that the low speed needle is in fact out of whack(so to speak). U say its very unpredictable; have u had to "chase" the needle settings all over the place? IF so, as I posted in one of the other threads here; I would check every and all possibilities for air leaks; check the fuel tank and lines for leaks, check the fuel tank cap seal for a possible bad seal; also take some sealer if u have not already done so and seal up the entire engine(backplate, carb with a "sensor-safe" type of sealer) and the "green slime" stuff for the needles(both high and low end needles) good luck with it man!!! just post back if none of this solves the problem)
