A fellow club member had what he thought was a balanced Hog Bipe. During flight it had an aggressive tendency to porpoise until he added a bunch of nose weight - 9 oz. I believe. He had a Saito for power - 100 or 115 (I think) ...

Sounds like the initial balance for maiden should error on the nose heavy side and then move stuff back.
