Check out the two sites mentioned by Draftsman1. When my son accidentially broke off landing gear on one of our SPADs, we just cable tied a hex wrench set on it to get the CG correct and flew it the rest of the day, hand launching and skid landing it. The problem with the landing gear breaking was that I used only two small nylon bolts to hold it on.
Check out the Debonair. it's a great trainer and relatively straight forward to build. You can fine the plans here
