Bill, you can use any receiver that has the same shift and frequency as long as it is compatible. What I mean is, even a micro receiver that is full-range, and compatible with the JR will work. So, you can do a little research and see what one you can get and perhaps save a few $$$.

I don't know what receiver to recommend, but check out the Bergs. I have a 7P I believe, which is a seven channel and is full range. The P designation denotes programmable. The servos can be plugged in either on the top or the side. They are listed as horizontal or vertical servo pins. Just make sure you get what you want.. side or top, if you elect a Berg.
